Earthquakes

An earthquake is a shaking of the ground. It can take place anywhere on the earth’ s surface, or in the sea. Earthquakes are among the most powerful events on the earth, and their results can be terrifying. There can be some signs before an earthquake, such as hens flying here and there and dogs barking without any obvious reasons. At the same time, frogs and snakes come out of their habitats. When earthquakes happen, houses and the trees outside, wave from side to side, and you will also find you can’t stand steadily. So you must come out of your house as quickly as you can and go to the flat ground, but don’t stand under the trees or beside any buildings. In the future, scientists will be able to forecast exactly when and where earthquakes will take place. Then they will be able to tell people to take positive measures, so lives can be saved and damage can be reduced.
