1. Do you like talking with somebody that you don’t know on the Internet?

2. Have you ever given your personal information to a person on the Internet?

How to keep safe on the Internet

Be careful online"and"remember that online friends are really strangers. People online, no matter how long you have been talking to them or how friendly they are, may not be who they say they are.

You have only been in touch with someone online. But you are planning to meet him or her. It can be dangerous. If you feel that you “have to” meet, then, for your own safety, you must tell your best friends or classmates"and"take them with you — at least on the first visit —"and"meet in a public place in daytime.

Keep your own information (name, address, ID card, telephone number, mobile phone number, email address, photo) secret when chatting online, even if people ask for it. Check your Internet information"and"make sure it doesn’t have any of those things in it.

Get away from an uncomfortable situation in a chat room. It just takes one click to get out, or you can change your screen name.

Think before you answer private messages when chatting. It can be harder to end a talk in a private chat than in a public chat,"and"the other person may ask for more information from you.

Use a nickname, not your real name, but the nickname should be one that is easy to remember. Look out for your friends"and"do something if you think they are in danger.

Learn how to keep a copy of the dialogues when you chat — this may be of great help if you want to report something to the police.
