My First Trip to New York
Saturday, June 25th
Last week I went to the United States with Mom"and"Dad. It was my first trip to the US. It took us about 13 hours to get to New York. It was raining"and"we didn’t have an umbrella, so we got wet. But I was still happy.
It was a beautiful city. There were lots of tall buildings. Do you know how tall the Empire State Building is? It’s about 443 meters tall. I wondered what the top of it was like, so we decided to go to the top. How different everything looked! I felt like I was standing in the clouds."And"because of the nice weather, I could see everything below.
In Chinatown, we met quite a few Chinese traders"and"visited their shops. For lunch, we had Beijing Duck"and"something delicious. The food tasted great because I was so hungry! As we had enough time, Dad took us to see a Broadway show. Our last stop was Times Square. It was wonderful! I enjoyed myself very much.
Vacations are usually family activities. We can spend free time with our loved ones. What do you think?
